OK if you don't feel like driving to a Sonny's, which is much better for BBQ.

This place is great. I went at 2 on a Saturday and its empty, which is insane. The wait staff was nice, food was fast and perfect, I've got 3 TVs with football and baseball with the sound ON, the football mix on one. I got everything I ordered and the menu is reasonably priced, especially for lunch. I'm definitely coming here again.

There are so many negative reviews and my husband and I just don’t get it. It’s the same woodys food at every chain, wholesome and smoked. This hole in the wall isn’t the classiest but it’s these places you find good ole country service. Our server Robin was great and everyone was personable I would definitely reccomend this location to anyone who wants to appreciate good hometown service

The service was not great. It was dead. The ribs were tough and the garlic toast was very dry. However, the okra and tomatoes were fantastic.

Horrible experience. Restaurant was almost empty and yet we sat at the booth waiting for the waitress to bring us a water and a Mountain Dew. 10 more minutes went by, we left.We didn't eat. We were seated and left there.

My experience at this establishment was horrible. I was racially profiled and was treated as if because I’m African American I should be served last. When I spoke up I was then told so well. The staff was rude my meal was not prepared right and was served cold. Never again.

Met a colleague here for dinner at 5:30 prior to a 6:00 PM engagement. Told our waitress we had to order fast, eat fast, and get out fast and be gone by 5:50. She told us it depended on what we ordered.To be safe, I ordered a cup of brunswick stew. At 5:40, I didn't have it, but she brought me the check - which I paid. At 5:50 I didn't have it. At 5:52, I went up to the counter and told her I needed an IOU for a Brunswick stew since I needed to leave. She went to the back, had them ladle a quarter cup of stew into a to-go cup, and gave it to me in a bag. First time here - nothing to recommend a repeat visit.

Great food fum family atmosphere

Visit started out bad. Food was over cooked so I told waitress to take it away. She apologized asked if I wanted to have it made again. I said no. Shaun(mgr) came over apologized asked about remaking and I said no. He then took it upon himself to remake the order. Not only that but removed it from my bill and offered my wife and I free dessert. That's the way to go about satisfying your customer. I must also say that I was less than cordial to Shaun but he was a true gentleman in the way he handled the whole ordeal.Thanks Shaun for the kindness you displayed even though I was undeserving.I will most definitely be returning to this Woody's location.Thanks Shaun to you and your staff. I apologize if I misspelled your name

Food was really good, my waitress was excellent. Prices are good, lunch was $12 that included the drink. If you like BBQ, this is a good place for you. I always recommend the greens as a side option.

Not a good experience this time:( Salad was brown, and when I brought it to the attention of my server, all she said was, "Really, you should have told me earlier!" Wth? Service was slow as hell, will not go back unless someone else is buying!

The pulled pork sandwich was very filling and cooked perfectly. The servers were very friendly and very attentive to my table.

The Chicken in the Chicken Feast meal was extremely dry. We purchased as take out and it had to be thrown out. Very dissatisfied with the quality. I called to complain and was offered $5.00 off my next purchase of a chicken feast. The meal cost $19.99 you'd think they would compensate a little better than they did.

I have been to this restaurant times before, however I've never recieved the service I have tonight. The waitress we had was extremely rude. I ordered the baked beans, a side I've ordered before, but this time the dish didn't taste right. I bought it to the waitress attention, and when I told her the issue, she offered a different in which I declined. She, a few minutes later, comes out with the same side and told me to try this batch. I refused and she was very aggressive and forceful trying to have me to try the baked beans in which I declined already. This was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. Sadly for this I will not be returning.

Bring your kids, your whole family, your workmates, your friends, and of course, your spouse! Food, beverages, trivia fun and prizes!! :-) Come on...not too early, not too late, it's just right.

The cook only had one job to do, and that was to cook the food/serve it hot. I was looking forward coming tonight since it had been a while. The place was practically empty. My food was barely hot, not even luke warm. Disappointing. The waitress, I think her name was Yueng,;she was awesome, has great customer service skills. I commend her for doing her best to rectify the situation.

My favorite bbq restaurant!!! Awesome waitstaff! Awesome food!!! Awesome Ribs!!! They have THE BEST RIBS IN JACKSONVILLE that I have ever eaten so far in the four years I have lived here! Keep it up Woodys!!!!

I've eaten here previously and really enjoyed it. I've even catered for my employees from this location. During this visit, The salad was mostly lettuce and olives with burnt chicken breast. Felt like a waste of $12.

Food and service were great. Only complaint would be my shoes sticking to the floor all the way to and from the restroom.

Great staff, I usually get take out. The manager is awesome. Listen even if your getting take out. LEAVE A TIP!! This location does prob.most of its business in takeouts, those servers gotta make money too. Trust me, a few dollars goes a long way for some. It's Christmas, and I'm not rich by no means. But I made a promise to Myself and God. Bless people this year as much as I can. And if I can't afford a minimum of a $10 tip yes even for take out, then don't eat out. Help others. So Disappointing, went here for Father's Day. Only three or four tables were full and we still waited half an hour for food that was awful we ordered chicken tenders on salads and maybe got one (total) cut up on top of the salad... Chicken on one of our dishes was so overdone and dry it was not edible.. We had Seven in our party and really wanted to treat the men in the family to a nice Father's Day ...will not be going back!

Amazing food at amazing prices! The staff are sweethearts as well. Definitely put this place on your date night schedule!

The chicken wrap I had was absolutely delicious! I had wonderful service from the time I walked into the Restaurant. The sandwich was so big, I took half home for dinner that night. I highly recommend this Restaurant.

Sat for 45 minutes waiting on two sandwiches. When they did arrive they were soggy and tasted like baked meat. The cook came out and said it was from the pork that they hadn't been sitting. I order the same thing at every woody's. Never has it tasted so awful.

Always good service & food. Waitress makes sure you are always good! My experience here has been very good.

I see negative reviews from months back, but I am here to tell you, since new owner, best flipping burger in town, like the chargrilled awesome ones my papa used to make!!!! Service awesome as well as COLD beer! Buckets 5 for $10!!!! Ribs are good too, but this is only place we go for burgers anymore...rock in' it!

I have only been here twice, but, thanks to DJ Tom T - and Woody's - for hosting Trivia Night - Wednesdays 7-9pm. Perfect for families, and, friends. I won 1st prize this week!! Slow service but tasty ribs. Cole slaw needed some attention. The server we had was nice.

Not the best food I've had catering from this place that was awsome but to sit in the restaurant and not get the same food sucks! Good service tho!

I ordered smoked wings to go the waitress brought my order fried were hot like I like them, cant say the same thing for my wings. Wings were warm mind you the restaurant was empty so there was no need to be have done or warm, so I had to send them back, once she brought the wings back very hot. Disappointed in this visit I won't be back.

Took forever to get our order taken. They ran out of some of the things that we ordered. When the food finally arrived it wasn't worth the wait. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I have had 3 to go orders in a row turn I to a disaster. I used to get great service, the past three times I have had to wait a hour from the time I ordered until it was ready for pick up. This past time I was told 20 min, when I got there right at 20, there seemed to be chaos. Multiple times servers asked the cooks about my order only to get told it's coming up. I ordered at 630pm, got there at 650pm, and did not receive my food until 740pm. O don't know who is managing this place but I never saw a manager the whole time. Whoever it is either does not care, or has no clue how to manage a restaurant. Three strikes your out with me.

The food was good, i liked the server alot. Although the manager seemed a little rude. She might have been racist as well. That may have to do with why the place was so empty. She was alittle mean to her staff too. She's also an application trasher

Long wait. Ripped booths and dirty tables. Waitress is rude. After waiting forever for food it was wrong. Sent it back and actually saw the cook go to get it out of the freezer. Which means you cook to order. Ugh. So sad. It used to be so good!

Updated from 3 to one. Original 3 star was for a bland bbq joint. Have been back 2 more times due to its location being so close by. It has gone from generic bbq to down right dry and gross. Long wait even on an empty night for "burnt ends" that certainly lived up to thier name, more like burnt jerky. Didnt send them back and simply ordered some chicken. Even worse. Not sure how they stay open. Never anyone in the restaurant. Will not return.

For a relatively slow evening, the food took forever and was cold on arrival. The beans were disgusting and the smoked Turkey smelled like spoiled Thanksgiving leftovers. Wait staff was lackluster at best. Last time I'll ever eat here. Save yourself the trouble and eat elsewhere.

Ordered a to go order my sweet potatoe was hard. Called to let them know they said I could come by for a fresh one. I get to the Texas brisket it had so much fat tasted like it had been out all day. Salad was okay. My fiancé’s pork was fatty and mushy definitely not Carolina pork. The fried okra and ranch were good. Should definitely work on making food fresh and care about quality. Truly a disappointment.

Long wait time after ordering,order wrong. Waitress was very sweet,but not backed up by overall experience... Really disappointed with this place as I really love the food... Or did....

My table and on other table where the only people in there and it took over 30 mins to get our food. When my food did come it was cold . Also we all ordered off the lunch menu . When we got our bill we where charged for the new waitress mistake . And was told we ate the food we had to pay for it . She was nice and apologized for her mistake , but we where still charged for it ..

Food not very good dry service was ok

Had a great experience at this Woody's, the food was great and the ribs where fall of the bone good. My wife had the chicken salad and was also very pleased.

Baked beans were just not good. The beef brisket sandwich was good but the bbq sauce is 👎. Tried em all.

Clean,fresh, and friendly. Tender too. Nice.
